The Porthole is café and kiosk overlooking the dunes In Woolacombe on Marine Drive.

We opened in 2019 following the extensive renovations of the old public toilet block by the National Trust. Run by a brother and sister-in-law duo with a small friendly team in tow we are open year round.

The Porthole is all about seasonal ingredients, local & regional suppliers and bold fresh flavours. Our menu features a variety of cakes, salads, savouries & sandwiches made fresh each morning in our Ilfracombe kitchen.

We take great care in producing everything in house; the marinades and sauces in our sandwiches, the kimchi in our famous Scotch eggs, the cakes that fill the boards on our counter each day, the syrups for our iced drinks…we make it all!
